Spectral Sequences

Abstrakt:
A spectral sequence is an algebraic tool for computing homology groups. They are a generalization of exact sequences and can often compute information that exact sequences fails to capture. Due to their power, they are also highly technical.
The aim of this talk is to introduce a special type of spectral sequences (the sequence of a bigraded complex), skip (some of) the boring technical details and prove some well-known facts from homological algebra using this new tool.

I will try to include the necessary background so everyone who has taken Algebra can follow along, but it will be helpful to have taken Introduction to Topology or a similar course.
