Non-commutative harmonic analysis on quantum symmetric spaces.

Abstrakt:
In this talk I will present quantum versions for the well-known results from the harmonic analysis on symmetric spaces. I will consider two special types of quantum symmetric spaces, namely, the quantum matrix balls and the quantum hyperboloids. In both cases it is possible to explicitly construct a quantum analog for the commutative algebra of invariant differential operators on a symmetric space. Moreover, the common eigenfunctions are represented explicitly in terms of famous families of special functions. Further directions and applications to the Plancherel type theorems will be discussed.
