Threshold ground state of the semi-relativistic Pauli-Fierz Hamiltonian

Abstrakt:
The semi-relativistic Pauli-Fierz Hamiltonian $H$ in quantum field theory is investigated, which has two parameters, $m$ (mass of the boson)  and $M$ (mass of the particle).  The model describes the minimal interaction between a semi-relativistic particle and a quantized radiation field. It is shown that $H$ is self-adjoint, has a unique ground state embedded in the continuous spectrum.

It is emphasized that our result includes the case of $(m,M)=(0,0)$. The strategy is a combination of a localization argument and a stochastic analysis.
