Danish Norwegian Operator Algebra Seminar 2010
Objectives
The seminar co-organized with Centre for Symmetry and Deformation at the University of Copenhagen, and is held as a celebration of Uffe Haagerup's recent 60th birthday. Apart from Danish and Norwegian mathematicians, the list of participants includes 20 international guests with close connections to Uffe's career.
The 2010 Danish-Norwegian Operator Algebra Seminar is the latest in a series of Danish-Norwegian meetings initiated by Gert K. Pedersen and Erling Størmer in the early 1990's. These meetings have been made possible through generous support from the Danish-Norwegian Cooporation Fund, which owns Schæffergården and Lysebu, where the meetings have taken place.
The Danish-Norwegian Operator Algebra Seminars are characterized by a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and for generations of young Danish and Norwegian operator algebraists, they have served as a pleasant introduction to international research fora.
