Applications of moduli spaces to computational biology

As you are probably aware, Aarhus University is the proud home of the Center for the Quantum Geometry of Moduli Spaces, a world center for studying certain problems on the interface of mathematics and theoretical physics. You may not be aware that over the last several years, Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen and I together with various groups of other researchers have been, among other things, working to apply techniques and results from moduli spaces to study questions in biophysics. Specifically, we are using these tools to understand and predict crystallized or folded proteins or RNA molecules. In this talk, I will describe some of these advances and explain a bit about moduli spaces as well.
