Strangely dual orbifold equivalence for unimodal and bimodal singularities and Galois groups

In this talk we will introduce orbifold equivalence, an equivalence relation between potentials of Landau-Ginzburg models. We will review how it relates together simple and exceptional unimodal and bimodal singularities (where several of them are strangely dual in the sense of Arnold), and how these equivalences are controlled by Galois groups.
