Fabrice Baudoin new professor at the Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics is pleased to announce the appointment of Fabrice Baudoin as professor in Mathematics, commencing from January 1, 2024.

Fabrice Baudoin completed his PhD in mathematics at the University of Paris 7 in 2002. Following a postdoctoral position at the Technical University of Vienna, he joined Paul Sabatier University in 2003, serving as a maitre de conferences until 2008. Subsequently, he spent 15 years in the United States, initially at Purdue University and later at the University of Connecticut, attaining the rank of full professor in 2012.

Fabrice Baudoin’s main contributions lie in the realms of probability theory, analysis, and differential geometry. He has authored several influential papers at the intersection of these fields, publishing more than 100 scholarly articles and mentoring a dozen PhD students.
