After completing my PhD at Paderborn University in 2010, I held postdoctoral positions at Aarhus University and later served as Ross Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University and Junior Professor at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. In 2019, I returned to Aarhus University as Associate Professor. Since 2026, I have served as Deputy Head of Department for Research.
I work in the areas of representation theory and harmonic analysis of Lie groups. My recent research has centered on branching problems for unitary representations of real reductive groups, with particular emphasis on their interactions with analytic number theory, partial differential equations, and spectral theory.
Over the years I have taught several courses on the Bachelor and Master level for both mathematics and non-mathematics students, such as Mathematical Analysis 1, Advanced Calculus for Engineers, Fourier Analysis, Analysis and Geometry of Locally Compact Groups and Lie Groups.
