Perverse sheaves and Riemann-Hilbert correspondence

Timothy Logvinenko (Cardiff University)
Thursday 16 May 2019 16:15–17:00 Aud. D3 (1531-215)
Introductory seminar
This is a survey talk in which I will give a brief introduction to the notion of perverse sheaves on a stratified topological space. I will sketch out its origins in the context of the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence and regular holononomic D-modules, explain how it can be computed via gluing t-structures, and finish with a well-known result describing perverse sheaves on a disc with a marked point.
This seminar gives an introduction to this week's "QGM seminar". The seminar is meant for Master and PhD students - all are welcome.
