New Council elected to the Young Academy
The Young Academy has elected a new Council at its annual election in February. Christoffer Basse Eriksen, Associate Professor in Science Studies at the Department of Mathematics, Aarhus University, has been elected as the new chair, together with Associate Professor Sabina Pulz (Roskilde University) as vice-chair.
Commenting on the election, Christoffer Basse Eriksen says:
“I am very proud that the members of the Young Academy have elected me to serve as the new Chair. To me, the Young Academy represents an ideal research community, where we think together across disciplines, institutional affiliations and experiences. Together with vice-chair Sabina Pulz, I will work to ensure that the Young Academy, by leading through example, can point to new directions in the Danish research landscape.”
In addition, new representatives have been elected to the Academy’s standing committees. Together, the Chair, Vice-Chair and committee representatives constitute the Young Academy’s new Council, which is entering the coming year with a continued focus on interdisciplinarity, research communication and strong academic communities.
