Two Aarhus researchers organise international research programme in Stockholm

Aarhus mathematicians Sira Gratz and Peter Jørgensen are among the organisers of a research programme on triangulated categories, which will take place in 2027 at the Mittag-Leffler Institute in Stockholm

The Mittag-Leffler Institute is a leading international research institute of mathematics. Its research programmes last a semester and bring together international experts on an area of mathematics. In the autumn of 2027, the institute will host the programme "Triangulated Categories in Algebra, Combinatorics, Geometry, and Topology". Triangulated categories are ubiquitous mathematical objects which originate in algebra, but have had a huge impact in combinatorics, geometry, and topology over the past decades.

The programme is co-organised by Sira Gratz and Peter Jørgensen from the Department of Mathematics in Aarhus, who both have active research groups working on triangulated categories.
