Peter Juhasz new PhD student in Data Science
Department of Mathematics is very happy to announce that Peter Juhasz was awarded a PhD scholarship by the Danish Data Science Academy. He will pursue his PhD project at the Department of Mathematics, Aarhus University, under the supervision of Christian Hirsch.
Peter obtained his MSc degree in Physics from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
"My PhD project will focus on higher-order networks representing the collaborations in scientific projects. I have researched complex networks during my studies because I like the wide applicability of the related methods. The results will hopefully help neuro-scientists as well by shedding light on how the human brain works. I hope that my diverse research experience will be beneficial throughout my PhD project.
The Danish Data Science Academy will foster the interaction of various scientific fields, which is crucial in the multidisciplinary field of data science."
– Peter Juhasz
"Having Peter as a PhD fellow diversifies my group and provides the unique opportunity to tackle data-intensive projects addressing a variety of pressing scientific questions. With his creative mind, his cross-disciplinary background, and his impressive work ethic, Peter is a highly skilled problem-solver. Already when preparing his application, Peter and I have been regularly exchanging emails, which has given me a glimpse of Peter’s passion for the PhD project. Hence, I am very glad to have Peter on board for this exciting project"
