The talk will concern limiting distribution results in the moduli space of k-dimensional lattices in n-dimensional Euclidean space. This research direction is motivated by classical lattice point counting problems and by the goal of resolving new cases of limiting distribution results for orbits of discrete subgroups of SL(n,R) acting on homogeneous spaces. I will present my recent results, with particular emphasis on an ongoing collaboration with Nimish Shah that settles a conjecture of U. Shapira and O. Sargent concerning the orthogonal lattices of integral vectors on hyperboloids.
